This image captures a variety of elements that I like - strong, geometric shapes, but also a hint of "surrealism", with the bright, open elevator seemingly leading to something beyond.

I came across this shot in Montepulciano, Italy. It's just a mundane elevator lobby in an office building. I'm sure the people that work there were wondering what the heck I was photographing, especially since I kept running up to the elevator to push the button so the door would stay open.
